Personal data controller

Valitive Info AB (below “Valitive”) is the personal data controller for personal data that is processed by Valitive and provided for market information services, as well as search and identification services from our market information database.

Purpose and legal basis

Valitive’s market information database contains information about companies and private persons in Sweden, where the information is used for providing, among other things, market information services, information for direct marketing, verification, inspection as well as updating of our customers’ customer lists. The current database is legally protected according to the Swedish Law regarding Freedom of Expression (YGL) through voluntary authorisation issued by the Swedish Press and Broadcasting Authority. For personal data that is published by virtue of YGL, other rules than GDPR apply.

With respect to information that is provided for direct marketing, Valitive follow industry rules created by the industry organisation Swedma.

Categories of personal data to be processed

Information about companies and private persons is collected and processed in our market information database, including name, address, telephone number, national ID number, household affiliation and company engagement.

Categories of recipients

The personal data from Valitive’s market information database is provided to Valitive’s customers, in other words companies and other organisations that need services for marketing information, direct marketing, person searches, verification, inspection as well as updating their customer lists. The information can also be provided to other resellers, Valitive’s subsidiaries or subcontractors who handle the development and operations of our systems.

Subcontractors and transfer

Valitive uses subcontractors who may process your personal data on behalf of Valitive. Storage and other processing takes place within the EU as well as outside of the EU.  Valitive always takes the appropriate security measures regarding the relevant transfer/processing, regardless of whether this occurs within the EU or whether the transfer is made to a so-called third country.

Storage and sorting

Updates to the market information database are made continuously, and Valitive saves the personal data as long as the personal data is relevant and in accordance with current sorting policy.

Complaints

If you feel that Valitive’s processing of personal data violates applicable data protection legislation, you have the right to submit a complaint to a supervisory authority. In Sweden, complaints can be submitted to: Swedish Commission on Security and Integrity Protection Box 8114 104 20 STOCKHOLM or www.imy.se.
